| Transactiekosten | Meestal gratis bij het casino |
| Minimale storting | Vanaf €10 |
A Visa deposit works the way it does anywhere else online: you enter the card number, expiry date and security code at the casino’s cashier, the payment routes through Visa’s own network and the operator’s payment processor, and — assuming your bank does not block it — the deposit lands almost immediately. Most operators also run 3-D Secure, the extra verification step your bank triggers on its own app or by text message, which adds a few seconds but is standard for card payments generally, not something specific to gambling merchants.
Visa itself does not decide which merchants can process its cards — that sits with the acquiring bank and payment processor an operator signs up with, and different processors take very different views of gambling as a merchant category. That is part of why “Visa casino” searches turn up such a mixed picture across the industry: it is not that Visa itself blocks gambling merchants uniformly, it is that fewer processors are willing to underwrite them, and fewer still will underwrite an operator with no recognised licence.
Where This Fits Among the Five Brands We Cover
Captain Slot reviews five online casino brands for the Dutch market. For Visa the answer is mostly yes: four of the five take a Visa card for deposits from the Netherlands, and the fifth, Betory, takes Mastercard as its only card. What separates them is the card limits and the payout windows, set out below.
Which of Our Partners Actually Accept Visa
Four take a Visa card directly. Betory does not, but a Visa card works there through Apple Pay, and it pays out to Visa.
| Brand | Visa for Dutch deposits? | What the brand lists |
|---|---|---|
| KokoBet | Yes | Visa and Mastercard cards, Visa also through Apple Pay; payouts to Visa, up to €900 per withdrawal |
| JustBit | Yes | Visa and Mastercard cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay; payouts to Visa or Mastercard |
| BinoBet | Yes | Card deposits; Apple Pay and Google Pay with a Visa card for players with trusted status only; payouts to Visa or Mastercard |
| Mama | Yes | Visa and Mastercard cards, also through Apple Pay and Google Pay; payouts to Visa or Mastercard |
| Betory | No direct Visa deposit | Mastercard is its only card for Dutch deposits; a Visa card works through Apple Pay; payouts to Visa are listed |
The difference between the four is not whether Visa works but what it is allowed to carry. A card deposit tops out at €2,000 at KokoBet, JustBit and BinoBet and at €1,000 at Mama, against a usual €5,000 for the account, and KokoBet caps a single Visa or Mastercard payout at €900.
Betory is the one brand where the card you hold matters. Its Dutch cashier lists Mastercard and no Visa card deposit, so a Visa holder there either adds the card to Apple Wallet or pays from a Dutch bank. Withdrawals to Visa are on its list either way.
Visa as a Payment Rail: What Checks Out and What Doesn’t
What checks out. A Visa deposit at KokoBet, JustBit, BinoBet or Mama needs no advance setup — no wallet to fund, no crypto to buy — you use a card you likely already carry. It’s typically fast, landing within moments once your bank authorises it, and it comes with a card-network dispute process that crypto and most e-wallets don’t offer in the same form.
What doesn’t. Bank-side gambling filters, common across several of our target markets, can decline a Visa payment before it ever reaches the casino, regardless of how trustworthy the operator is — that block sits with your own bank, not with the casino. None of the five publishes a Visa-specific fee, and the card caps sit below the account caps: €2,000 per card deposit at KokoBet, JustBit and BinoBet, €1,000 at Mama. And accepting Visa changes nothing about licensing: none of the five holds a licence from the Ksa.
Visa Against the Alternatives
Against an e-wallet, a Visa card is simpler going in and slower coming out — days against minutes. Against iDEAL, it matters most at KokoBet, which offers Visa but not iDEAL for Dutch deposits; BinoBet, JustBit and Mama offer both. Against crypto, it is the option with a dispute process behind it.
The card’s real advantage is that it needs no third account. Its real cost is the payout window and the possibility that your own bank blocks the category before the casino sees the transaction at all.
Depositing and Withdrawing
A Visa deposit clears instantly at every brand that accepts one. The number goes to the operator’s payment processor rather than to the operator, but the card itself is the point of contact — which is why a declined transaction is usually the issuer’s decision and not the casino’s.
Withdrawals run as a refund against the original transaction, and that is the slow part: one to five business days on the issuer’s cycle, whatever the casino approves. Where the deposit is too old to refund against, the money comes back by bank transfer instead.
Before that, each casino runs its own processing step. KokoBet and BinoBet hold a withdrawal for 48 hours for players below VIP level, JustBit holds non-crypto withdrawals for 48 hours, and Betory processes fiat withdrawals within 48 hours. Mama does not state a processing time.
Visa on Mobile
A Visa deposit works the same on a phone browser as on desktop — enter the card details, complete 3-D Secure through your bank’s own app or a text code, done. All five brands run in the mobile browser and as an installable web app (PWA) rather than as a store app, and none of them has been tested with our own card deposit from a phone yet.
Does Paying With Visa Ever Unlock a Bigger Bonus?
Not at any of the five. None of their welcome packages carries a payment-method condition — the same terms apply whether a deposit arrives by Visa, crypto or a Dutch bank. This matches the general pattern across the industry: a payment method changes how money moves, not what a bonus is worth, unless an operator explicitly runs a payment-specific promotion, which none of the five currently advertises.
Security
Visa’s own protections apply to the transaction: 3-D Secure at the point of payment, and a chargeback route if a payment is taken that you did not authorise. Neither of those makes the casino behind it supervised — a chargeback is a dispute with the merchant, and using one against a gambling operator usually ends the account.
The card number itself is handled by the processor rather than the operator, which is the one structural protection a card has over a bank transfer here.
Fees
None of the five publishes a Visa-specific fee. Each states a minimum deposit of €20 for the account as a whole, not a number broken out by card brand. Where a card issuer or bank applies its own cash-advance or foreign-transaction fee to a gambling merchant category, that sits between the reader and their own bank, not between the reader and the casino, and it is worth checking directly with your card issuer rather than assuming none applies.
Which Visa Cards Work
Not every card carrying the logo behaves the same at a casino cashier. Debit cards draw on the account balance and are the most commonly accepted. Credit cards are treated by many issuers as a cash advance when used for gambling, which carries interest from the day of the transaction rather than after the statement. Prepaid Visa cards work for deposits but frequently cannot receive a payout, which leaves the money to be returned by another route.
Why Dutch Issuers Sometimes Decline
Card networks tag gambling transactions with their own merchant category code, and a Dutch bank can decline that category outright — on some cards it is blocked by default and can be enabled in the banking app. A declined deposit at one of these brands is more often the issuer’s rule than the casino’s system.
Veelgestelde vragen
Which of the five casinos you review accepts Visa?
For deposits from the Netherlands, four of the five take a Visa card directly: KokoBet, JustBit, BinoBet and Mama. Betory lists Mastercard as its only card for Dutch deposits, although a Visa card stored in Apple Wallet works through its Apple Pay option. All five list Visa among their withdrawal methods.
Are there limits on Visa payments at these casinos?
Yes, and they are lower than for other methods. KokoBet, JustBit and BinoBet cap a card deposit at €2,000 against a usual €5,000; Mama caps cards at €1,000. On the way out, KokoBet limits a single Visa or Mastercard withdrawal to €900. The minimum deposit is €20 at all five, whatever the method.
Is a Visa deposit different from a Mastercard one at these casinos?
At KokoBet, JustBit, BinoBet and Mama, no: both cards sit in the same method with the same limits. Betory is the exception, because for Dutch deposits it lists Mastercard only, so a Visa holder there pays through Apple Pay or a Dutch bank instead. Otherwise the practical difference is just which card you happen to hold.
Why might my bank decline a Visa payment to one of these casinos?
Banks in several of our target markets run gambling-transaction filters that can block a card payment before it ever reaches the operator, independent of whether the operator itself is trustworthy. This is a bank-side control, not something any of the five casinos can switch off from their end.
What if Visa doesn't work for me at one of these casinos?
Every brand offers alternatives for Dutch deposits. Apple Pay, the Dutch banks (Rabobank, ING, ABN AMRO), N26, Revolut and crypto are listed at all five; iDEAL at BinoBet, JustBit and Mama; Google Pay at every brand except Betory; MiFinity at KokoBet and open banking at Mama.
