Captain Slot

How Captain Slot makes money

This site is funded by the casinos it writes about. When a reader opens an account through one of our links, the operator pays us. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change the bonus or the terms you are offered.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is an ordinary link with an identifier attached. When you follow one, the operator's site records which partner sent you — usually through a parameter in the address and a cookie set by the operator or by the network between us. If you then register, that registration is attributed to us and a payment follows.

The mechanism sits on the operator's side, not ours: we do not see your account, your deposits or your play. What reaches us is a count. Every affiliate link on this site is marked rel="nofollow sponsored", so a search engine is told the same thing you are.

What that means for your data is in our privacy policy and cookie policy.

What we are paid

Three shapes, and different operators use different ones. CPA is a one-off fee for a qualifying signup. Revenue share is a percentage of what the operator earns from the players we send, paid for as long as the arrangement runs. Hybrid is a smaller one-off fee plus a smaller share.

We are not publishing the rates. Not because they are embarrassing, but because a rate printed on a page and a rate in a contract drift apart within a quarter, and a stale figure presented as current is worse than no figure. What matters when you read a review is not the size of the payment but what it can and cannot move, and that is the next section.

Which casinos we have a commercial relationship with

All of them. Every operator covered on this site is a commercial partner, and there is currently none here that is not. We would rather write that sentence than have you work it out.

Operators we hold a commercial agreement with
Brand Commercial relationship Markets we show it in
Betory Yes Netherlands
BinoBet Yes Netherlands
JustBit Yes Netherlands
KokoBet Yes Netherlands
Mama Yes Netherlands

None of them holds a licence from the regulator of any of the markets above. That is a fact about the operators rather than a verdict from us, it is stated on every review, and it is why none of them is described anywhere on this site as safe, trusted or recommended.

What the money changes, and what it does not

It decides who is here. We do not cover the whole market. We cover the operators we have an agreement with, which means the absence of a brand from this site says nothing about that brand.

It influences the order. Where two brands are otherwise level, commercial terms can decide which is listed first. We would rather admit that than claim a purity this industry does not have.

It does not decide the safety tier. The tier is read off public registers and published warnings, and no payment changes what a register says.

It does not decide the experience score. The weights and the scale anchors are published, the inputs are the operator's own documents, and the arithmetic is identical for every brand.

It does not decide whether a warning is published. If a regulator or an industry body has published something about an operator we are paid by, it goes in the review.

What we never do

  • We do not sell scores, tiers or nominations.
  • We do not remove a negative finding because an operator asks us to.
  • We do not publish text written by an operator or by its agency.
  • We do not remove or soften a regulator warning.
  • We do not sell links, and we do not change a link's attributes for a fee.
  • We do not run affiliate links, operator buttons or rating figures on this page or on our safer gambling pages.

If you think a review reads like an advertisement

Tell us, and quote the sentence. We will either back it up with a source or change it, and if we change it the correction goes into the change log with its date. Write through the contact page; we answer within two working days.

The same route is open to an operator who thinks a figure is wrong, and the rule is the same in both directions: a claim moves when a verifiable source is supplied, not because somebody dislikes the conclusion.

Terms of use

The terms below apply to every page of this site. They were a separate page until 30 September 2026.

1. What this site is

Captain Slot publishes information about online casinos: reviews, bonus terms, payment conditions, public reviews and complaint records, and warnings published by regulators and industry bodies. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Captain Slot is not a gambling operator. It does not accept bets, hold player funds, run games or pay out winnings, and there is no account to open here. Every gambling transaction you enter into happens with an operator, under that operator's terms, and we are not a party to it.

2. Age and responsible gambling

De wettelijke minimumleeftijd voor gokken in Nederland is 18 jaar. We apply the 18+ threshold across the site. Do not use it if you are below the legal age where you are.

Gambling costs money and carries a risk of harm. Nothing here is an encouragement to gamble beyond what you decided to spend. Free, confidential help in all six countries →

3. Not advice

The content of this site is information, not legal, financial or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to gamble. Whether gambling is lawful where you live, and whether a particular operator may lawfully accept you, is a question for the Kansspelautoriteit — our responsible gambling page tells you where to look, and it is a starting point rather than an answer.

4. Accuracy and change

We check what we publish and date it. Bonus terms, payment limits, licence status and ownership all change, sometimes without notice, and a page is accurate as at the date shown on it and not afterwards. Before you act on a figure here, read it in the operator's own current terms.

Our method, including how a rating is derived and how often it is re-checked, is stated on the homepage and repeated on every review. A rating is an editorial opinion based on stated criteria; it is not a guarantee of anything, least of all of being paid.

5. Our commercial relationship with operators

This site is funded by commission from the operators it covers. That decides which operators appear here and influences the order they appear in; it does not decide a safety tier, an experience score, or whether a regulator warning is published.

The full account of it — the payment models, the list of operators we hold an agreement with, and what we will not do for money — is on the affiliate disclosure page, which is where a disclosure belongs rather than in a clause of a document nobody reads.

6. Operator terms take precedence

Where anything on this site conflicts with an operator's own terms and conditions, the operator's terms govern your relationship with that operator. We describe those terms; we do not set them and cannot alter them.

7. External links

This site links to regulators, help organisations, complaint bodies and operators. We do not control any of those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their handling of your data. A link is not an endorsement, and on our safer gambling pages there are no operator links at all.

8. Our material, and quoting it

The text, tables, ratings and page structure on this site are ours, and copying a page wholesale is not permitted. Quoting is: take what you need, keep it recognisable as a quotation, and credit Captain Slot with a link to the page you took it from. Our regulator reference exists to be cited, and citing it properly is the point.

Operator names and logos belong to their owners and appear here for identification.

9. Liability

We take care over what we publish and we correct errors when we find them or when they are reported. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from a decision you took on the basis of information here — including gambling losses, which follow from the game rather than from a review of it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Complaints and corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us: quote the sentence and link the source that contradicts it, through the contact page. Readers are answered within two working days, operators within five. A correction that moves a rating is recorded in the change log with its date.

We are not a dispute body. A complaint about an operator goes to the operator first and then to the regulator or dispute service of your country; the routes are named on each of our six country pages.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the foot of this page changes and, where the change is material, we say what changed. Continuing to use the site is not by itself an acceptance of a new version.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

Open item. Governing law and the competent court follow from the country in which the operating company is established, and no company is named yet. This clause will state both once it is, and consumer protection in your own country of residence applies regardless of what it says.
