Captain Slot is not a gambling operator. It does not accept bets, hold player funds or pay out winnings, and you cannot register or deposit here.

No data protection officer has been appointed. If one is, this section will name them and give a direct address.

2. What we collect

Things you give us. Only what you put in a message: your name if you sign it, the address you write from, and the contents. There is no account on this site, no newsletter signup and no payment, so there is nothing else you can hand over.

Things collected automatically. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, when, and the page you came from. Some of that is in the web server's log by necessity; the rest depends on whether you consent to measurement.

Things stored in your browser and not sent anywhere. Two values: whether you have answered the age question, and whether you have switched casino offers off. They live in your browser's local storage, carry no identifier, and we never receive them.

Things from third parties. If measurement is switched on, aggregate statistics from the analytics platform. If you follow an affiliate link, the operator's network tells us a click was attributed to us. Neither tells us who you are, and we do not receive your account details, deposits or play from any operator.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

Each purpose has its own basis. Measurement and affiliate attribution rest on consent, not on legitimate interests: they are not necessary to show you a page, and treating them as if they were would be the wrong basis for them.

Purposes, data and legal basis
Purpose Data Legal basis
Serving the pages you request and keeping the site available and secure IP address, user agent, request time, page requested Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — running the site you asked for
Remembering your age answer and your "hide casino offers" preference Two values in your browser’s local storage, no identifier and nothing sent to us Strictly necessary — you asked for the setting, and it never leaves your device
Measuring how the site is used, so we know which pages are worth maintaining Pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, device type, a cookie identifier Consent (ePrivacy, and Art. 6(1)(a)). Nothing runs until you agree, and you can withdraw
Attributing a signup at an operator to a click from this site A click identifier passed to the operator or its affiliate network Consent. Refusing it does not change what you can read here
Answering a message you send us Whatever you put in the message, plus the address you sent it from Legitimate interests, or a legal obligation where the request is a rights request

4. Who receives it

Our hosting and content delivery provider, which processes requests to serve the site and keeps short-lived access logs.

An analytics provider, only with your consent. The provider is not finally chosen; this section will name it, and the cookies it sets will be listed individually in the cookie policy, before measurement is switched on for anyone.

The affiliate networks of the operators we cover, only when you follow an affiliate link, and only to the extent needed to attribute that click.

A consent management platform, which records the choice you made and when. Also not yet chosen.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anybody else's advertising.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of the providers above are established outside the European Economic Area, in practice usually the United States. Where that is the case the transfer rests either on an adequacy decision of the European Commission covering the recipient, or on the standard contractual clauses together with the supplementary measures the transfer requires. Once the providers are named in section 4, this section will state which mechanism applies to which of them.

6. How long we keep it

Retention periods
What How long
Server access logs Up to 30 days, then deleted
Analytics data Up to 14 months, the shortest retention the platform offers
Messages you send us Up to 24 months, so we can trace a correction back to its report
Records of a consent you gave Up to 5 years, because we have to be able to show it
Rights requests and our answers Up to 3 years

These are periods, not a sentence saying that retention periods can vary. When something is past its period it is deleted, not archived.

7. Your rights

Your rights under the GDPR
Right What it gets you
Access A copy of what we hold about you, and why
Rectification Correction of anything inaccurate
Erasure Deletion, where we have no overriding obligation to keep it
Restriction We keep it but stop using it while something is disputed
Objection To processing we base on legitimate interests
Portability The data you gave us, in a machine-readable form
Withdrawal of consent At any time, and as easily as you gave it
Complaint To the supervisory authority of the country where we are established, or of your own

Exercising any of them is free and does not need a reason. Write through the contact page and we answer within one month, which is the statutory limit rather than a target. The supervisory authority to complain to depends on where the operating company is established, and it will be named here once it is.

8. Children

This site is for adults. The legal gambling age is 18 in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, and 21 in Greece. We apply 21+ across the site. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below the threshold, and if you believe a young person has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

9. Cookies

Nothing that is not strictly necessary is set before you agree to it. Every cookie, what it does and how long it lasts is listed in the cookie policy, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the same place you gave it.

10. Affiliate tracking

When you follow a link to an operator, the address carries an identifier saying the visit came from us. The operator or its network sets its own cookie on its own domain — from that point you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not ours.

What comes back to us is that a click, and possibly a registration, was attributed to this site. Not your name, not your account, not what you did there. The commercial arrangement in full.

11. Changes to this policy

When it changes materially we re-date it and describe what changed. Where the change affects something you consented to, we ask again — continuing to use the site is not an agreement to a new version, and this policy does not pretend otherwise.

12. Contact

Data questions and rights requests: [CONTACT EMAIL], or through the contact page. Captain Slot is not a gambling operator and holds no player accounts, so a question about your casino account has to go to the operator.
